Old age and diabetic
I am 82 and was diagnosed with diabetes (type 1.5) 4 years ago. My A1C is always under 7 but seem to be on a roller coaster! I take insulin (only) and try to be low carb (under 60 a day) but have, what seems to me, lots of highs and lows! Any suggestions as to how to be more "even"?? Time in range, I think it's called.

I have my CGM set at 87 so I have a heads-up about low blood sugar. Time enough to remedy it without panicking!! I am not really interested in doing a pump. Too much to learn at 82!!
I get it. It’s a lot of work. And expense. And, to me, if you are doing well with Multiple daily injections, that’s a perfectly good method. I struggled with maintaining in range with MDI. I do fear ever having to return to it.
