Okay to go off Tymlos for a week?

Posted by seelex02 @seelex02, May 18 9:23am

I forgot to pack my pen! Will be away for a week. I’ve been on Tymlos for 16 mos with great gains. Just curious, has this happened to anyone? Should I try to fedex? Shorten my trip? Waiting to hear back from my doctor. Many thanks in advance!

Ask your doctor or better yet, the pharmacist who sent the Tymlos to you, or the company itself.

I didn't take it when I had COVID because my heart was iffy. At the time the nurse told me two weeks was okay but I don't know for sure.

I hope you can enjoy your trip!

seelex02, no, don't shorten your trip. The week off may benefit your bones. It would only be questionable if you had been on the drug for only 6 months. I had a month off Forteo (lost pens) and my CTX came down a bit more than my P1NP. I think you increase the anabolic window by breaking briefly from PTH therapy.
This is completely unprofessional advice. But my own consulting bone expert agreed in retrospect.
