Nutrition for Essential thrombocythemia (ET) diagnosis

Hello,
Newly diagnosed with Jak2 ET. Started Hydrea and 81 mg aspirin. Very low iron levels.
Has anyone come across a specific diet recommendation to accompany this diagnosis besides usual healthy diet?

Researchers were looking to see if an anti-inflammatory diet would help with ET symptoms. You can Google lists of inflammatory/anti-inflammatory foods.

If you are in hydroxyurea, do take note of acidic foods that might trigger mouth sores. I had to be sparing with my tomatoes this summer, and citrus fruit and walnuts are a problem. I switched to almonds.

I've had ET x 17 years, and I find that cutting back on starches (esp bread) and sweets helps with fatigue. So does drinking 64 oz of water every day. Recently, my husband's doc told him to increase his protein intake a bit, and both of us have felt better as a result. We are 71, and the effects of diet do vary a lot by individual and change with age.

No diet will control platelet proliferation, alas. That part of the disease is caused by your genetic mutation.

I have ET and now MF for over 21 years and the last 5 years I feel better because of following broadly the Mediterranean diet ( the original which is not full of pasta) and lots of different vegetables but avoiding bread pasta rice etc which make me so fatigued. I had found an article about inflammation and how to reduce it that way, but I cannot remember who wrote it, probably Angela Fleischman, regarding its effect on MON cancers,
