Numbers After SRT/ADT
I just received my post treatment results after SRT with 6 months of Orgovyx.
PSA < 0.05. Had been 0.18
before treatment.
T = 688. Was 610 before ADT
The 25 sessions of IGRT ended on 12/09/24 and ADT ended 2/07/25.
I am shocked at the recovery of T since it was only a whopping 3 after one month of Orgovyx. From all I read and from comments of others who had taken it, I thought it would only be about half this number.
While I am glad of its recovery, I must admit a bit of trepidation at its strong presence; I’m hoping it will not fuel any dying embers and get the ball rolling once again. As usual I have difficulty taking the “W” and going home…
Meeting with PA in 2 weeks to discuss the results. Best,
Phil

Are you asking about the T numbers or PSA numbers? If PSA, this video from about the 17 min. mark may be useful.

I wonder if your prostate cancer wasn't limiting your T levels prior to treatment?
Thanks, but he’s talking about PSA rise after surgery - been there, done that already.
I guess a PSA of < .05 is pretty good. Not sure if there’s a nadir to be reached in 18 months in SRT as there is in primary radiation treatment, but time will tell. Thanks,
Phil
Don’t think so. My T has been as high as 765 - and that was before surgery.
It’s always surprising to me because I usually equate high T to big, hairy, muscular men - and I am NONE of those things. More like Niles Crane of ‘Frasier’ - a thin swimmer’s build…but I can barely tread water🫣
You're lucky. My T was 550 pre-treatment, climbed into the 300s 3 months post Orgovyx but has now crashed and is down in the 200s. All my doctor will say is that he's "surprised" but research shows that up to 30% of guys won't recover after ADT (I wasn't told about this before treatment or I would have declined).
Haha. Your handle belies you @heavyphil ! I was certain you were a big Wisconsin-like Harley dude with a beard to match. Not Niles from Frasier. Excellent! Steve
HaHa - my T level would lead even ME to believe that!
Phil
I don’t understand it myself. I guess we just get what we get, right? Hoping your situation improves!

Perhaps time to hit the weight room and put some of that lost muscle back on if so inclined. 688 wow! I was a measly 250 prior to treatment.
After radiation, some people’s PSA takes years to get down as low as yours is. Because of residual tissue after radiation, tissue that is not cancerous, the PSA usually doesn’t drop to zero for everyone that’s had it. I was undetectable for 2 1/2 years after salvage radiation, So I know it can be done, like your results. So many people complain that there doesn’t go down quick enough,
Boy, it’s something how quickly your testosterone came back. Makes me suspect you are younger, under 65. My brother had 6 month of Lupron at 76 and a year after lupron ended he still hadn’t hit 200. Thank you Orgovyx.
