Nubeqa pain and/or Cancer pain?
Hi there -- my husband (60, stage 4, metastatic PC (bones) began his treatment in May with Eligard, and started Nubeqa a month ago. He is not a complainer but the pain and discomfort is real in his joints and muscles and tends to move around. I'd love to hear from anyone else taking Nubeqa on their pain and if/how they managed it? It's also hard to determine what is "bone cancer pain" and what is the pain caused by the medication!

Joint pain is a commonly reported side effect of Eligard. Joint pain has been reported with Nubeqa, but significantly less so than with Eligard. Bone cancer pain is very different. Side effect joint pain is somewhat manageable with OTC anti-inflammatory meds and exercise. Bone cancer pain is not. It pretty much constantly hurts. I'm on Orgovyx and Nubeqa. Joint pain and stiffness go along with the territory but is certainly manageable. I cannot say the same for the bone met on my spine prior to SBRT. It was pretty unbearable.

1 ReactionI take 600 mg of gabapentin three times a day for joint pain. Initially, it was bad knees that I had replaced, but I noticed that tapering off still brought pain back so I stayed on it.
I know dozens of people on Nubeqa And very seldom hear about joint pain. It’s usually more likely with ADT (Eligard).
