Has anyone decided to not do radiation?

Has anyone refused radiation with HRpositive HER2 negative IDC one positive node, lumpectomy/ six nodes removed, clear margins, Ki67 5%onco score 9?

It's like I wrote this. I had 2 lumps and 6 nodes removed. 2 nodes were pos. I'm ER+ HR- onco is 19. I take anastrozole and declined radiation. Had my first diagnostic mammo and everything is good. Lumpectomy was Sept. 2024. I'm 77.

I was HR/PR + on both sides. Micro stasis on 1 lymph node on right, none of the left. Onco was 0 on left and 12 on right. Double Mastectomy with unclear margins on one side. Was put on Tamoxifen. My surgeon was pushing for radiation instead of going in to get clear margins as she said I needed it anyway. I went to two radiation oncologists who said I absolutely needed radiation and large amounts of it because of the unclear margin. I finally went to a cancer center in Tampa and they told me that, if there was a playbook for radiation, getting clear margins should always be the first option. I demanded surgery to get clear margins and finally got it. My surgeon was still pushing for radiation after surgery, even though I was told the percent better outcome was only between 8-12% (that is a question every radiation oncologist should be asked and should be able to answer - what is the percent better outcome). I opted NOT to do radiation. However, I did EXTENSIVE research and had went to the best minds I could find to make this decision. Ultimately, it is your body and your choice, but get as informed as you can.
