Non-Length Dependent Small Fiber Neuropathy

there is much discussion of PN but seldom is much said about non-length dependent neuropathy. I guess it must be relatively rare. The condition affects all different parts of the body. I think it is usually idiopathic as is mine is. I was diagnosed with it more than 10 years ago. I’d like to hear from others with this type of small fiber neuropathy.

@suetex I did'nt make it to my neurologist appointment. My husband is fighting lung cancer and he hasn't feeling too good.
I'm going to talk to her about Ivig and another EMG. I think I might have CIDP and the only way to find out is to do another one. I want to ask you since you also have Sjogrens and neuropathy. Do you think the burning feeling we feel is from the Sjogrens or the neuropathy? I believe it's the Sjogrens because it's the Sjogrens that caused me to have neuropathy in the first place! Very, very frustrating and aggravating disease that really makes me crazy at times!

@mummers59 First of all, let me say I'm sorry your husband is having a hard time. That must be hard on you both. As to Sjogren's, it can give you neuropathy by messing with your autonomic nervous system. There can be a number of symptoms. Mine is bad balance. (Also I have a number of bad vertebrae from riding horses for years.) So I can't answer that question with any certainty. Yes, it does make you crazy.
