List of injuries is mind blowing from motorcycle crash. After only an 8 day hospital stay released. 7 compound fractures 487 sutures no splint no cast no meds see primary care for after care order. All aftercare refused,7 Dr.s refused.Return to surgeon for after care was told each time.Surgon says I wasn't a pre reg. Patient so no.3 months have passed I'm getting worse.

In reply to @geraldmosier … myself and a few others I know who have been able to access Mayo in the past are being given the same message as you are (Rochester). We seem to think their system has changed and getting care there now is nearly impossible. One friend of mine had received care there for the past 20+ years and has now been directed to be seen locally. We continue to have limited specialists there, but otherwise we cannot access any new services. I don’t know what’s happening, but the advertising says “come” but the answer is you can’t. I hope this will change. Good luck in your journey. May you find other resources to help you.

Thank you for your positive response. In response to the glitch you refer to the glitch is in the directors the administration. I've had a look behind the wizards curtain and have a rudimentary knowledge of surcomventing the admi instraction. Sence I wrote this item I was contacted I'll refrain from name of either dr or department, the contact was to set up an appointment asap. Unfortunately I had obtained an appointment at st lukes. But the Dr in question is a friend he insisted on a video chat and he is in contact with st lukes.see it's not the Dr's "well mostly" but the mayo is a corporation and is governed by policy set forth by the board.whats needed is a third party advocate to confront the issues one on one.but I'm a different breed one that has no problem telling administration to **** off...

In reply to @geraldmosier …. Thanks for your input. I understand how administration procedures change and patients are at their mercy; until the next change happens and it either stays the same, improves, or worsens. Very few patients have the ability, patience or stamina to battle administrations in an effort to receive services.

I'm a hard headed old school hillbilly redneck that isn't intimidated by anything. But yes I agree most don't have the know how to butt heads with corporate. Me I'm in puppy heaven..lol.
