Next step for growing nodule

I’m not sure, who ordered the ct scan? It sounds like your nodule is under observation and has grown a little since the previous ct scan. I would say that whoever is ordering the scan will contact you and discuss options, there’s no set plan as to what they will do next, they can also do a PET scan to determine what it is. Also, you asked if your regular doctor should be told and that is really up to you, if you see this doctor a lot then I would let them know what is going on, best wishes.

Rtyrrell- My advice is yes, you should tell your regular doctor. Reason being; If you see this doctor regularly, they have your health history. That can be quite helpful with your medical decisions going forward and will help the lung nodule clinic doctors or specialists if this is serious. I have ALL of my health reports sent to my regular physician because when I’m done with the specialists or which ever doctor I need to see for something, he is the one I see and I want him to have all the information if something comes up so that we can make an informed decision quickly instead of having to wait for one office or another to send or request reports from all of these different doctors. The key to our doctor’s success in helping us, is to make sure they have all of our information, the knowledge of health issues. My doctor, after going over my health history, is the one who pushed me to get a lung screening. That found my cancer, LUL nodule that was spiculated, and had more than doubled in size. So even though I had a specialist complete testing and surgery, etc., if it wasn’t for my doctor’s knowledge of what was going on with me, I may not be here today. I had no physical health issues. I felt great. But he saw a pattern in my blood tests, ( high blood calcium) and from information I provided him from my previous doctor. I gave him the knowledge to help him save my life. Specialists or certain clinics help while needed, but your doctor is there for the big picture. I hope this makes sense. I know it is quite a long response. Wishing you Good results and Good Health!
