Next month, I mark 43 years since I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I am very thankful for all the things I’ve experienced during these bonus years. Newly diagnosed people have often crossed my path, and I have had the privilege of encouraging them with not only my longevity but also quality of life. Any other longterm survivors out there?

I just want to say congratulations and thank you for sharing your wonderful inspiring news! I am still in treatment and I can't even express how much it means to hear from a long time survivor! Wishing you a life always full of joy and happiness! 🥰
@rjp27 CONGRATULATIONS!🥳 I’m 21 yrs out on first one and coming up on 6 for second. I’m truly blessed. You are an inspiration. Again congratulations
So happy you got that time! For me, it was meeting and getting married to my husband, my second son being born, eventually getting to watch my two grandchildren - both grown now! - grow up - and next Saturday, we will celebrate our 40th anniversary! 💕
I am 21 years out, and in my 30’s at dx there are definitely a different set of issues from my older counterparts. I am so grateful to have the time with my loved ones that all those hard treatments bought for me.
What are you most grateful for?
Well I’m very glad you got all those healthy years in before dealing with it. At 28, it comes with its own problems…
Congratulations! You're an inspiration! I don't think I will have that chance to announce that 40 years from the day I was diagnosed. I was dx at 61 🙂
That is amazing!!! Congratulations!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
