How long before you're scheduled for a hip replacement surgery?

Question/ This is my first hip replacement how long before you are scheduled a surgery date ?
Has anyone been denied a hip replacement ?

I waited four months after my first consultation with the surgeon before I got a date. It depends on who your surgeon is. I waited happily for the best even though there were at least 3-4 others in the orthopedic department.

What are the names of the best hip replacement surgeons in phoenix? At my first consult the person asked me if I had a preference on which surgeon and I said no preference because I don't know any of them. I'm still waiting for a call to get the next steps started.
