New treatments? Palsonify (paltusotine) for acromegaly

I have heard about a daily pill made and approved by Crinetics Pharmaceuticals named Palsonify (Palusotine). Is anyone familiar? FYI there is a web conference by NETR to discuss on Sat July 18 to discuss.

Haven’t heard of it. What type of neuroendocrine tumor does it treat? I’m dealing with recurrent paraganglioma which secretes neurotransmitters. I’ve had multiple surgeries and was on lanreotide therapy. Now I’m on belzutifan (Welireg) and was told there’s only PRRT left in the arsenal. I’d love more info about this drug!

It's an oral form of octreotide designed to treat carcinoid syndrome. But it looks like it may be thought to have similar anti tumor effects as the injections.

Palsonify (paltusotine) is a new once-daily oral medicine approved to treat adults with acromegaly who either didn’t get much help from surgery or cannot have surgery for certain reasons. Acromegaly is a rare condition caused by too much growth hormone (GH), usually due to a tumor in the pituitary gland.
