New Pancreatic Cancer Diagnosis

Posted by smithpamelag @smithpamelag, 5 days ago

My 70-year-old husband received the news last week that some tissue samples from an EUS came back as cancerous. He has a complex medical history having had bile duct cancer in 2020, a liver transplant Feb 2021, Chronic Kidney Disease and alot of other things prior to that. Since he has transplant, he has frequent blood work including the CA 19-9 done quarterly as well as some scans. His CA 19-9 started to climb last year, nothing was showing up on imaging. In 2023 the CA 19-9 spiked to over 6,000 but then came back down within normal range. Well this time its different. Since July of last year its gone from 81 to now its over 10,000. CT Scan done today shows no masses on lungs. The MRI in March didn't show much either, but the most recent EUC did see some changes in the dilation of the pancreatic duct. We live in Cleveland, OH and get medical care at the Cleveland Clinic. Today we met with the surgeon and next Wednesday will be meeting with the oncology dr. But it sounds like the plan is chemo for 2-3 months. Repeat labs and scans to see if things have responded and if he's a candidate for surgery. We've got a long road ahead of us! That's for sure.

Look up the history, it was developed for humans. "Ivermectin was discovered in the late 1970s from a bacterium found in Japanese soil and was first approved for veterinary use in 1981. It gained approval for human use in 1987 and has since been recognized for its effectiveness in treating various parasitic infections, earning the title of "wonder drug" for its impact on public health, particularly in tropical regions."

Can you tell me what Chemotherapy regimen you are on?
What side effects have you had from the Chemo? Thank you.

Chemo: I am getting Fluorouracil(CIV)D1-2 + Leucovorin + Irinotecan + Oxaliplatin.
1st treatment I had BAD diarrhea. All treatment experiencing pain in fingers/hands when exposed to cool temperature/objects. Now experiencing extreme tiredness, weakness, fatigue, I am doing lots of naps, in all "Quality of life" poor because I can not do a lot of what I previously could. I get tired very quickly.

Why am I doing this? Because 20% live to 5 years, only 5% past 10 years even with the recommended Whipple surgery with the cancer usually returning 1 year later. Search the internet. Very little on FB due to free speak limitations, try X or maybe Truth social. There are many testimonies from stage IV cancer patients which have been cured using ivermectin. Why wait until you have stage IV. There are many alternative holistic practitioners too.

Because he probably read somewhere of "promising" results. I think let people try what they wish. All kinds of studies out there; some will work and some won't but for some it doesn't hurt to try going outside the box and chemotherapy forever is a difficult concept to grasp, sometimes.

Yes, It is available there. There is a famer who's wife's ovarian cancer(if i recall his story on FB correctly) was cured using horse paste Ivermectin and he got rid of the cancer on his nose. FB and others maybe from the big money "Big Pharma" per his statements have tried to shut him down.

Thank you Gary. My husband starts Chemo tomorrow & we are worried about the side effects. I'm hoping that your regimen of chemo with the alternative therapies works for you. I'm looking into everything out there so you sharing your experience has been helpful.

I agree with you. It's your body and your life. What you do should be your choice. But in fairness to the doctor, is it realistic to expect she or he to prescribe something that goes against their education, training and experience?

For me, over the counter imodium worked best for my diarrhea. For the hand and foot pain, I used arnicare gel. I also have compression socks and gloves that I wear. They help by enhancing blood circulation in the legs and feet. They can reduce swelling, prevent blood clots, and alleviate pain and discomfort. Additionally, they may improve lymphatic drainage, reduce muscle strain during exercise, and lessen dizziness when standing. I believe that they really helped. What other concerns do you have?

Due to Chemo treatments, it reduces your blood cell count thus your NK cells and TCells that destroy cancer as the Chemo fights the cancer. It can take more than a year to recover your NK, TCells fully. I have heard of cancer returning and when it does it comes back with a vengeance, can not be stopped. All your natural defenses are mostly gone.
