Neurologist is telemedicine.

I started with a new neurologist that was closer to home. I didn't realize he was only telemedicine. I wasn't sure about not having the in person office visits, but I really liked the doctor and his nurse. Is it sensible to not have in person office appointments?

Are you using Synapticure. They sound like what you are using. I have started with them while waiting for my upcoming Mayo appt. and am very pleased. Their neurologist talked with me for two hours--that was a first after 74 years of various autoimmune illnesses and over 1 yr. in hospitals. Good luck. A shortage of neurologists nationwide will make this service more common.

I like using telehealth but question how you would have an office exam of reflexes, walking, etc. and EMGs/nerve conduction studies/testing treatment. Are you just being managed with medications?

Thanks for commenting on this subject. I am old school and not sure about the Telehealth. My neurologist and his nurse were really thorough and put me thru a battery of tests as he observed. My prior neurologist has me on Ocrevus for management.
