I am so sorry that happened to you! It’s been a year now, how is the drop foot and nerve damage?
I had a total knee replacement in January 2026 and got drop foot and nerve damage. It is terrible, my drop foot is better but the foot is numb and my leg is numb from the knee down.
I had hip replacement in 2008 with foot drop and nerve pain mid calf. With extended PT water exercise, months and months the foot drop went away. The pain is still there in my lower part of my leg, but it is bearable. I know this is troubling, including water exercise gives you more mobility. Good luck.
This discussion makes me wonder if the lower artery in that leg has been considered. I have some similar pains, numbness etc. and had an angiogram that showed the artery from my knee to my ankle is almost totally blocked. Some doctors call it peripheral arterial disease and the vascular expert said it should be called atherosclerosis. But all agreed there is no treatment. Hopefully the small auxiliary arteries will hold or I will lose that leg. I know Hope Is a Thing with Feathers but it is better than nothing
