@mariesa1 you sound like you have a lot going on! Have you started a journal of your health problem (s)? It helps for you to track of everything! When you see new doctors, you will have all the answers written down! I started 5 small notebooks, one for each speciality. That way I was able to keep medical problems separate and have a notebook to take to appointments!
Do you have a physician for your general health, like your osteoporosis and possible ascites in pelvic area?

@mariesa1
Have you had a recent CT scan, MRI, or ultrasound of your spine/abdomen/heart? Have you had bloodwork and does it show anything? How are you being treated for your heart and osteoporosis? Did you start any new medications or fall recently? Have you had this swelling for some time or is it sudden?

Yes I've had all that. Showed my adrenal glands not working. Can't see endocrinologist until November 19th. Swelling been going on for about 4 years. So frustrated.

An ultrasound of the abdomen is helpful, as heart problems can cause fluid to build up in abdomen making it swell and causing rib pain from distention. Also have your liver Enzymes been checked to check for cirrhosis or other liver disease? Have you had a pelvic exam to check your ovaries? An abdominal/pelvic ultrasound will look at everything. Adrenal glands not working is treatable with cortisol replacement. See if you can get in sooner to endocrinologist by asking to be put on a cancellation list. If they don’t have one, call every day to see if something has opened up in the schedule. Being pesty pays off! I hope you get help sooner than November! You will feel much better after adrenal insufficiency is treated. Hang in there and let us know how things work out.
