I do the Premier protein also with a few others, kind of rotate them it is very tasty..
@jimbon-I had an esophajectomy because of cancer so needs to be low sugar, low carb and moderate protein. I purchased Ensure plant based protein today. I tolerated it. Thx! 😊
After the esophajectomy for me any protein drinks cause dumping. And I've tried them all. I have zero sensation of being hungry or full. I eat seven times daily. If it were me I would try to sneak in one more meal a day. I think protein drinks are a great option if you can can tolerate them.

2 ReactionsI've also heard a lot of people have had good results with Nestle's Benecalorie, a tasteless liquid supplement that can be added to foods or beverages. It's available at Walmart and I think you can definitely find it on Amazon. Lots of calories (330) and 7 grams of protein.
It's so difficult to put weight back on after a major weight loss. Try different things and you'll hit on something helpful!

2 ReactionsTry liquid hope or nourish which you can get on Amazon no chemicals or vegan no fake sugars no lactose no onions. If your doctor writes to the company, you could get free samples liquid hope taste like squash soup. You can eat it without heating it or heat it up. I used it at the beginning, but not now now I purée my food except for bananas and kiwi and sourdough bread, which I don't purée I purée my grains, my carrots, my fennel, and my bok choy. I get sourdough that's organic and not made with sugar or yeast from a company called organic bread of heaven online I toasted which makes it go down easier I make my own nut butters out of hemp hearts, ground pumpkin seed, pecan and walnuts and then I have about a half a tablespoon with my sourdough at 4:30. That's my last meal of the day I don't eat a lot at that 430 meal because I don't wanna have reflux but I do drink 80 ounces or more of water per day. Hope this helps.

1 Reaction@naoshapiro1 Wow-quite a process you go through to eat. I do love nuts but I tend to eat too many and suffer the consequences as they are hard to digest. My main problem is I am too busy trying to take care of my dogs, home, yard, volunteer and family. I may also have to quit my cardio/strength training class and stick with Yoga.
Thank you so much for your tips about gaining weight after Esophageal cancer and treatment.

1 ReactionYou sound healthy and happy, I blend my nuts and put them in the refrigerator or buy nut butter and only use a small amount per day. I work with a nutritionist (my fifth) who is also a doctor twice a month for a half hour and unlimited e-mails back and forth. I teach two cello students read and walk twice a day and do 45 minutes of exercising when I get up. I'm 81 so a lot less busy than you are. Good luck with gaining weight.
