Did they do the surgery then find/diagnose CLL?
How is your lumbar spine now? Are you working with a hematologist/oncologist to treat and monitor your CLL?
Your risk is considered low. You have greater risk from pneumonia and the flu. You might want to wear a mask in all medical settings. Best luck with your surgery.
Have trouble walking , Walk ok with walker waiting on blood test For CLL no surgery yet am worried about infections from surgery

I had both cervical (C5-C6) and lumbar spine (L3-L5) and both surgeries were invasive, especially my lumbar surgery just done on 8/2/2024. Never had any issues with infections. They have you prepare for surgery by using certain cleaning soap (like used by surgeons before surgery), changing sheets so they are clean, and wearing new pajamas night before surgery. You may get bloodwork, urinalysis, CT scan, EKG, etc. prior to surgery to make sure you are healthy enough for surgery. They won’t do surgery if you are not cleared.
What type of minimally invasive surgery do you need to help you walk better and reduce pain? I needed to get laminectomy and fusion to decompress my spinal cord/nerve roots that were causing my pain, weakness, numbness in lower back, hips/buttocks, legs and feet.
I Have lumbar spinal stenois ,need a lamomoty which is a small insisive in back no wires or screws as soon as my white blood cell cout is established I hope to get the surgery

What levels do you need the laminotomy done? Did your surgeon explain how that procedure over others will solve your problem of not being able to walk? Is your stenosis in your central canal and affecting your spinal cord only or do you also have pinched nerve roots/nerves? I had severe central spinal stenosis L4-L5.
Level 134 surgen told he could fix mt balance and make me walk OKI have no pain just trouble walking
