Need Advice for Eye Redness and Burning
I have a question about my own health
My eyes often become very red with burning and itching especially when I go outside in hot weather or when there is dust in the air
I have visited many doctors and tried the medicines and eye drops they prescribed but my eyes only stay fine as long as I keep using them
As soon as I stop the drops the problem comes back
Please guide me if anyone has faced the same issue and what worked for you
Thanks

Have you seen an allergy doctor.
I had skin test and I found out I have a tree allergy and many more.
I have chronic red burning eyes for years now and I always keep eye drops on hand, we live in a polluted environment and the air quality is lacking goodness, it’s not a wonder that we have this ailment. I think that as long as you see the doctor to make sure that there’s nothing else wrong with your eyes, it seems you’re doing this. When you stop using the eye drops the problem comes back and it’s normal because the protection is missing, it’s also good to mention that unless you’re using prescription drops, buy a reputable brand and maybe ask the doctor or pharmacist if it’s okay for you to use, best wishes.
I agree about exploring if you have allergies that are causing the symptoms or if you have something like dry eye. An ophthalmologist should be able to test and diagnose it. If I stopped using daily eye products, I can’t imagine what condition my eyes would be in.
Sorry to hear about your problems.
About 15 years ago, I was have issues as well.
I had allergy testing to see what was my problem. I found out I have many issues chemicals, Almost every tree, Perfumes, And many more. For 14 years, I did drops under the tongue and they Helped me a lot.. Today people don’t realize that I have allergies, but I still do.
I also went to night doctor specialist and he said I had dry eyes very dry eyes. When I sleep, I open my eyes or crack my eyes that make my eyes even dry. I had trifocals and I used drops constantly and I ointment at night. A young lady in the optical store recommended a new item goggles that were designed to be worn at night
Three months later, I was having major issues with my glasses. I got in very fast. They checked my eyes and they told me I no longer needed glasses. 20 some years later, I am now starting to wear glasses again, but this time it’s due to age.
That is the reason for my thinking and allergy doctor to see if you have sensitivities to the chemicals around in the environment around you, And a good eye doctor specialist for dry eyes who might be able to help you
Wishing you the best
Where did you get your goggles? I’ve tried specialty online stores and had difficulty with fit and function.
Where else Amazon. Type in Eyeeco. I have Eyeeco’s dry eye mask.
Onyix silicone Hydrating sleep mask.
It has gone up a little $50 something.
I have been using them for over 20 years. I was wearing dry focals, and in about two months, I didn’t wear glasses at all my eyes healed themselves. Now 20 Years later, I’m starting to get glasses again. But that is to be expected because I’m in my mid 70s
