Necrotizing Faciitis with Diabetes

Posted by karanbuga @karanbuga, Dec 29, 2024

Hello Team Doctors,
I need really help in opinions, its been a confusing case.
My Dad is going Through Necrotizing Faciitis and we had him a treatment going through at Hospital
He did go through 6 surgeries and the left side of his body is torn up. The doctors think the source is in the chest, but its really hard to tell because on a CT scan it kinds of feel like air pockets, so eventually all tge Medical team gave up.

But as per the articles I am going through a patient should survive this long the last surgery he had was 18th December and its been 5 days in Hospice. Doctors did not even try to do Total body Blood count to check if the body is deteriorating. Plus he is diabetic so his wound recovery is slow but the rate of infection should be faster.
He is been off antibiotics since 6 days.

Antibiotics:
Fluconzola.
Linezoid

And Vancomycin for the dressing wound solution.
I need help from someone on this case.
Please right now he has no drips or TPM as he cant swallow anything there is a Tumor in his food pipe, we did not got the chance to check if that is cancer.

I do not want him die due starvation, I believe the doctors are missing something.

I have attached the bacteria and antibiotics he was on.

Or any connections can route me correctly to a good hospital run some tests that would be great

Can we Tranfer him?
