Hi, I'm Gail and I'm a Volunteer Mentor on Mayo Connect. As such, I'm not a medical professional and cannot make medical diagnosis or medical solutions. I do share my personal experiences and support for members of the community.
I think you need to go to the emergency room, since you've asked and are concerned enough to post your question here. Having neck pain for 2 months is a long time with no relief. It could be caused by a medication, cervical vertebrae problem, or other reason. I have a compression fracture of my C7, which happened probably 6 years before it was diagnosed through an MRI for a different problem. I also recommend that you get established with a physician so that when you have a problem you can call them rather than wait until you are ready to go to the ER.
Please let us know the results of your ER visit and if you find relief for your neck pain.
Have you gone to chiropractor ?That might help if not see a Dr.or Urgent care center
