Nasal pain that feels structural

Hi there. I had chronic nosebleeds in one nostril that I unfortunately exacerbated by picking at scabs/stuck mucus. Eventually an ENT cauterized my nose. I picked a little at the post-cautery scab. And I also picked at something in my other nostril that really stung. This scared me, so I stopped picking altogether. But then I experienced distressing nose pain after this that felt structural. It felt like my nose was fractured in some way, twisting or changing shape, or more askew than normal (I have a deviated septum/crooked nose). The pain was 100% confined to my nose. I was scared that I had a perforated septum/reduced septal support and that my nose could start saddling. (So far, my dr hasn't told me I have those issues.) Eventually, after more than a month of daily pain, I was rx'd a steroid, which helped dissipate the pain. But I still feel off. For instance, I tried a cardio routine that involved jumping, and my nose made a ton of clicking noises, and I felt dull pain. So I'm avoiding high impact exercise for now. What kinds of tests can help determine what is going on? I still think something is structurally wrong.
