Does anyone have experience of NPD? I think my husband might have it.

I just posted a question about this, then found your thread. After two years of wondering why my girlfriend acts the way she acts, today I came across the term Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and I just kept reading and reading. It just fits... everything fits so perfectly. Have you found any more information? Been able to talk to him about it? Will he even see a doc?

I have a family member that has NPD. A sibling. I had always felt that there was something off about this person for the last 4 years. It wasn't until I starting journaling as I recalled childhood memories and started looking into Narcissistic Personality Disorder that I realized this sibling had it and that they were the most insidious type - the Covert Narcissist and recalled the psychological, physical and more abuse I suffered growing up with them.

There is an absolutely fabulous blog called "The Narcissist in Your Life" by Linda Martinez- Lewi. She holds a Ph.d and has a history of successfully counseling persons who have been victims of those with NPD.

I hope this helps you.

NPD is a tough one. I was married to one for 14 years. I was terrified of him. They can be charming when things are going their way. They require a lot of praise and they are never wrong. Sad for you and hope he wants to make a change. Some do, but mostly they do not see need to change.
