Posted by bunnygg @bunnygg, Jun 4 2:57pm

Hello My mother who is 87 and has some dementia was just diagnosed with Myelofibrosis. She has had episodes where she’s fine and then suddenly she has pain in abdominal area, feels sick to her stomach and vomits. She’ll sleep all afternoon and night. The next morning she wakes up fine. This has happened 3 times. Has anyone else experienced this? Thank you for your help.

Has she had her Spleen checked?

REPLY

No she hasn’t. I’ll tell my father to talk to the doctor about it.
Thank you

I took Vonjo for my enlarged spleen which was seconday to my myelodysplasia with myeloftbrosis. Really helped with the pain in my left abdomen as it shrunk the spleen.

Were you and her doctors able to get to the bottom of her abdominal pain and vomiting? Was it her spleen?

REPLY

No not her spleen due to it being on the right side. He said she’s in the early stages. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the worst, she is a 4. She is feeling good physically but emotionally not good. Her dementia doesn’t help. Taking it a day at a time.
Thank you for asking.
