Muscles twitching and cramping in legs and feet

Hello, For over 2 months I’ve had this horrible muscle twitching and cramping in both legs and feet. It’s worse at night but happens during the daytime hours as well. Could this be vitamin B6 toxicity? I have been taking about 7mg in my vitamins. I weigh 125lbs.

I had B6 toxicity from taking a popular daily multiple vitamin for years for older men. Soon after taking the vitamin daily, my B6 toxicity ceased, but not my neuropathy.

Sorry, I meant soon after I stopped taking the vitamin daily, my B6 toxicity ceased. My neuropathy symptoms remained unchanged.

I recently started taking magnesium Glycinate. I will continue taking it until I see my doctor. I know very little about Inositol, but will look it up asap. I thought maybe this was restless legs, but people I know with restless legs say my symptoms are different. I can visibly see the muscles twitching in my legs day and night, and I have been experiencing cramping in my calf muscles and back when I stretch. The only health issues I have are Hypothyroidism, and Pernicious Anemia. Thank You for your advice!

I take magnesium glycinate nightly before bed. It has helped so much with painful leg cramps and I sleep better. Go back to sleep better after getting up 2 times in the night.

Thanks for your reply. I also can tell a difference but still have mild muscle twitching along with tingling in my legs and feet. These milder symptoms are day and night. At 68 with moderate Scoliosis, (curvature of the spine) I wonder if something is compressed in my spine. The winter months have made me rather lazy with no yard work to do. I walk an hour daily but I’m not as limber as I use to be. It’s a challenge to stay motivated!

I just got my bloodwork back, my Tsh is high again. This may explain the muscle twitching and cramps.
