Multiple broken bones in foot from crush injury. Post surgery pain.
A Jeep ran over my foot 10 weeks ago. 2 weeks in a cast then 4 weeks in a boot, all with no weight on foot. Then had the surgery where they put in 2 metal plates with 8 screws (5 bones were broken). 2 weeks in cast again after surgery. At that 2 week mark they removed cast and sutures. Since then my pain is at its worst it’s been. I am now 2 weeks into 4 weeks in a boot still no weight bearing. Is the most serious pain expected during this period? Seems illogical to me.

Pain seems illogical after breaking many bones in your foot, injuring nerves, ligaments and soft tissue and after weeks of no use. And then you had surgery to repair the damage and adding insult to injury they screwed plates into the fractures to repair them. And it’s only been 10 weeks since injury. You should probably expect to have pain up to potentially 6 months and especially when you start PT when you’re healed. Don’t rush your healing and damage the repair and good luck. If you were given pain meds use them sparingly but as needed. I hope your healing process is uneventful?
