MS woman 37 with unknown infection
I am 37 year old woman with MS and I am on a monthly infusion called Tysabri , I've been on it for over 6 years with no complications until now. My CRP is high 1.08 and Procalcitonin high 0.14 my WBC was low as well but back to normal. I was just released from the hospital yesterday and admitted on 8/4 with symptoms of severe tiredness, very weak, and fever. Doc has no clue where infection is coming from. Has Anyone with MS dealt with this before? Could it be my infusions? Please help. I was sent home on oral doxy for 13 days.

Hi,
I'm so sorry you have MS and are going through all this! That infection sounds ominous! Hopefully, the medicine that your doctor prescribed will take care of it. Since you were on that other medication for 6 years, do you suppose that the infection might just be a side effect of having taken it for so long? Sometimes you can get negative results from taking a medication for a long time even though the medication was helping you.
Are you eating regular, healthy meals? Your body is fighting hard and needs all the help it can get. I know it's hard to eat when you don't feel good but it is important. Do you take any vitamins? They help too.
Another thing that will help is prayer. Just ask God for his help and you will get it. He made you and he can fix you! Don't worry, God will be there for you! I'll say a prayer for you also.
I wish you the best.

Msmom I truly feel for you. Having an obvious infection without a proper diagnosis means you aren’t going to get proper treatment.
That’s where I am. But at least your doctors are trying to help. With my surgeon, I tell him about my pain and I get that ‘abducted by aliens’ stare that whispers “shrink”.
