I take 15mg per day of mirtazapine. Has anyone got a good tapering off regime.

Members are sure to advise a slow taper. A gradual dose reduction is recommended instead of abrupt cessation when possible. You are already on a low dose so you may wish to consult with your doctor and/or pharmacist on a recommended tapering schedule and if it is okay to split pills or take every other day or something different.

I am tapering off 15mg of Mirtazapine. I have been reducing the dose by 0.5mg every 2 weeks. I am now down to 5.5mg after 64 days. Do I just carry on reducing by 0.5mg every 2 weeks or do I change now I’m down to only 5.5mg.
