MINOR salivary gland tumor
I have my first appt with ENT surgery at Mayo on Jan 13 (2025). I have what is possibly a pleomorphic adenoma on the left side of my palate. I know salivary gland tumors are rare, but MINOR salivary gland tumors are very rare.
Has anyone here ever had one? Not parotid or other salivary glands. Specifically minor glands. Or surgery on your palate? Thanks!

Good luck on your surgery🙏🏻Can you tell me was that hard for them to diagnose? I have a small lump under my right jaw that is problematic. MRI’s or cat scans or not picking anything up so my symptoms are going on deaf ears. Wish you all the best!
Thank you for the good wishes! My local doctor ordered an MRI where it shows up but I won't know for sure what it is until it's either biopsied or removed. I'll find out Monday what they are going to do.
Can an ultrasound possibly help of that area?
