Suzanne, I added to the title of your post to include your question and am tagging fellow members @kcorvino2290 @washalien @triciapet @turtlegalsandy @astaingegerdm @vacres and @quiteachiver75 who may have experience to offer in how they manage microscopic colitis?

Suzanne, what helps you? What makes things worse or what do you avoid?

Can you please add me to this group? I’m new to this site and not sure how to stay involved with the specifics discussing microscopic colitis.

@suzanne2

Thanks for the heads up on budesonide. I was on it for about 6 weeks at the most. Haven't taken it since December. My stand by is lomotil when needed. Hopefully I won't need budesonide again, or at least not for awhile. I need to stay away from greasy food and I will probably be okay.

What is lomotil?

I am currently on budesonide, 3mg every 72 hours. Seems to help. I am able to eat most foods in moderation, but eat mostly foods that are high in probiotics to be gut healthy. Took some research (googling) , but found many foods I can include in my diet. I think we are all slightly different with our diagnosis, so good luck in finding what works best for you.
