Went back today for another Mammogram and was told I need a biopsy and the doctor said he thinks it’s DCIS cancer for sure. Many positive outcomes with DCIS? I go next Tuesday for the biopsy.

I have been told that it never hurts to get a second opinion. Micro calcifications are not often cancer but can be a possible sign.

I had dcis micro calcifications about a year ago. I had lumpectomy ,clear margins then radiation. After healing up ftom that I am now taking an aromatase inhibitor. Surgery wasn't bad and radiation wasn't too bad since I kept up with the cream.

Did your biopsy come back as benign with DCIS or malignant?

It was called cancer..stage 0.which is technically a precancerous but it was considered fast growing do if it hadn't been treated could have been broken through the duct and become invasive
