Mexiletine

Posted by Jessica @jmenassaka, Oct 30 10:53am

Has anyone tried the lidocaine infusions to be able to take mexiletine? Its primary use is for heart arrhythmias but has shown success for fibromyalgia patients. There’s also another med that requires ketamine infusions to test for it but I don’t remember the name. I’m on the mexiletine now but don’t see a ton of improvement and I didn't know if anyone had tried it or the other med.

Hi Jessica @jmenassaka, I see that you haven't had any responses since you posted this discussion and was wondering if you found any answers. I did a search of Connect to find other members who have posted about Mexiletine in case you haven't already tried searching Connect. Here's a link that lists the comments from other members - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/search/?search=Mexiletine.

Have you seen any improvement with the drug since you posted this discussion at the end of October?

Thank you SO much. I didn’t even think about searching for it that way. I’m not seeing a ton of improvement but I still have until the end of the month to decide.
