Posted by dsingstock @dsingstock, Sep 26, 2022

PSMA PET scan revealed radiotraser uptake in the right 7th and 9th ribs consistent with osseous metastasis. . Where do I go from here. I am 82.

Finished 39 sessions of IMRT on July 8, 2022. The first month or two after were rough with tired, weak, many trips to bathroom for both #1 and #2. Now 5 months after it's just some irregularity with #2. #1 is improved w Tamsulosin (flomax). The PLUS is a drop in PSA from 80 to 1.2 in 3 × mos, Lupron was also in play. Currently on Zytiga and Lupron, PSA is 0.1. Good Luck Merry Christmas

You will probably need a few more psa tests (at 30 days??) to confirm the uptick and then explore the options.
I am pretty sure you have enough PSA in your system to have an accurate PSMA PET/CTscan. That's what I would push for. It will pinpoint any P cancer hot spots. Treatment can then be designed specifically for those spots. Don't go by my say-so I read a lot but I am no pro. Merry Christmas

Yes same path as you When I was 74 had radiation then on Zolodex for 2 years In 2021 had to have L2 radiated to take out 1 inch metastatic cancer Then 1 1/2 years bone scan shoed some areas in my T11 T12 and left hip So my stage 4 castrate sensitive is going castrate resistive In Jan after our Aruba cruise medical oncologist putting me on Enzalutamide 4 daily chemo pills Prognoses if hopefully 5 years or more I am 78 now

Despit all you have been through it seems you have a positive attitude.
That's valuable. I'm 75 and suspect a similar path is coming my way.
We enjoy cruising as well and hope there are a few more in our future.
Merry Christmas to you and your wife.

I’m 88 and diagnosed July 2022. Big surprise! We’ve been in PCLO clinical trial for 20+ years. On ADT therapy at Mayo, Leuprolide inj (3month) and oral abiraterone 250 mg daily. Feeling fine, few hot flashes, definite weakness overall. Good luck.
