Metamucil for post surgery diarrhea?

Just curious, if anyone is taking Metamucil for post surgery diarrhea? I have surgery 3 months ago and my digestive tract is still off.. not as bad as before but my NET doctor suggested to try Metamucil twice a day, along with the Immodium. Sometimes I feel like it's helping, some days it's not.

That is no fun. My husband uses metamucil amd immediately (when needed) to help control diarrhea. He's not post surgical -at least not recently - but past surgeries and meds have messed up his system

Ask about Colestid or Questran, they use these post gallbladder removal for bile salt diarrhea.
Definitely helps

After 5 years suffering with miss diagnosed Dyspepsia, Gastroparesis, IBS, etc etc.. I found my issue without an MD. Its called BAM. I saw 4 Gastros, 3 PAs and a Family MD, that never even mentioned the possibility. Not that the probability wasn't high. I don't have a gall bladder, I have a shorten colon from surgery, my Illeocecal valve and appendix were also removed. I had 3 endoscopies, and 4 colonoscopys. No diagnosis of BAM. ( Bile Acid Malabsorption). I called my MD and asked for a script of Colestid, after 48 hours all my symptoms were gone. Its been 2 month, and I feel great
