Hi
Wondering if anybody was on HRT prior to breast cancer diagnosis and had to go off hrt Because of hormone positive breast cancer. If anyone is taking effexor for menopause symptoms and if your results are positive. My doctor wants me to start it.

Please reconsider taking Effexor, a potent antidepressant. It is difficult to stop taking, and when you want to stop, you actually have to wean off extremely gradually because you will have terrible withdrawal symptoms. Doctors don't tell you about that!! In my opinion, it’s not worth it. I took it for almost a decade, and I’m so sorry that I ever did. Will never take another anti-depressant ever!!

Hi
I took it for 1 week end up in emerg with severe stomach pain. I stopped it glad I did.
I take 5htp supplement for depression thru my naturopath. It takes longer to take effect but no side effects. Easier to come off. Also just started Menoforce by A. VOGEL for menopause symptoms. It's sage. I actually had my first night with no hot flash. There are other things that work that aren't Big Pharma drugs. Seeking a good naturopathic dr is worth it.
