men with fibro; what mindsets do you use?
M64 fibro. symptoms for 5Y, recently formally diagnosed.
I'm wondering what mindsets men with fibro have found help/work best?
thanks for any ideas.
e.g.
own our own situation (don't expect someone else to own it)?
aim is to work out how to live least badly?
not focus on pain too much, don't let it dominate your life?
track things that make you feel good?
use distraction?
none of the meds help (and some are addictive, leading to dependency and then tough withdrawal)?
no benefit in sharing much with any others (including partner?)? (or big benefit from joining a fibro group?)
.

It would be ice to share with others but even family members do not understand the level of chronic pain. All they've experienced is acute pain and so can't believe anyone can have continuous pain.
