Anyone been able to get off meds with metastatic prostate cancer?

A lot of people take these drugs for a year or two and then get off them and don’t need them again or for a very long time if at all.

I’ve been working with a guy who had been on Nubeqa for six months after a year on Zytiga, His Lupron shot has expired. He stopped Nubeqa a month ago, His PSA has been undetectable for a couple of years.

A lot of people just go on these drugs for a fixed amount of time. Many of them can stay off them permanently or at least for a long time. Other find they have to go back because they have a reoccurrence.

I was told by np at urologist I'd never be able to get off them so thanks for the info
