Nothing working....Procrit, Lenalidimide, or Vidaza...heard about Elritercept in Europe, and Lospatercept and Imetelstat. What does anyone know?

What has your medical team prescribed. Are you at a cancer research hospital in the US?

I think he's at his wits' end. I have not responded to the usual protocols...I think were going to try Lospatercept, but something in my genetic code, a -5K gene disqualified. I am a 77-year-old man and doubt I would qualify for a Bone Marrow transplant. I read that in Europe they are testing Elritercept, but who knows. In any case, the best any of these drugs can offer is a longer distance between transfusions

I hope they find that works. I am at City of Hope in Duarte California, and they get their team of oncologists together and plan next steps if something does not work. Here on Mayo i have read of those in their late 70s who were not able to have a BMT but other treatments. Have you entered Losatercept and Elritercept in the search bar above? I am going to do it to understand more. Europe comes up with many treatments.
I will say i have 2 genetic mutations. Crazy.

Nothing pops up. Hopefully someone like a moderator will find info and share tomorrow.

Google has info of it being a new treatment.

Jeff - lustpatercept is one of our options. I did not know del 5q could not use it? Revlimid (lenalolidimide) stopped working for me around 15 mos and the disease is progressing. Now we are trying Inqouvy (decitabine). You might ask about it? MDS sucks! Cancer cells are smart! Some health providers have no age limit for transplants. Check to see what the limitations are for you.
