MCD vs nephrotic syndrome: What is the difference?

I was told by my nephrologist that I had MCD based on my kidney biopsy. While reviewing my on line chart, I have a dx of Nephrotic Syndrome. Can anyone explain the difference?

@codered032 The subtle differences between kidney issues have steadily been getting more detailed in the last few years. This is both good and bad, as it points to more focused treatment methods, while confusing us patients. We just want to feel and get better!

Thank you for the information. Yes I do just want to get better. I have been doing a lot of research and information changes depending on what website I am on. My next appointment is August 1, 22. I will certainly ask my nephrologist. Thank you for your support
