Massage for neuropathy

I haven’t been officially diagnosed with NP, but am treating my slightly numb and occasionally tingling feet as though I have it. Has anyone had good results with massage? I have an old shiatsu massager that I bought many years ago for neck massages. I’ve been using it with my feet and after just a few gentle 15 minute sessions I am feeling significant improvement in circulation and symptoms. I would love to know if anyone else has used massage on their feet, and what effect it has had on their symptoms.

I have found nothing useful to help with Peripheral Neuropathy other than Lyrica (an opioid that confines its work to my feet). When I try to go off it, my feet hurt more than with it. Lyrica and a special formula of vitamin B6 to reduce inflammation called EB-N5 were prescribed by my Podiatrist. I walk with a cane outdoors to assure my stability, but I do not require it indoors. The disease is progressive, so I urge anyone who has PN to see a Podiatrist or Neurologist. Lyrica does not cause addiction, so do not be put off by it being an Opioid. The difference in how you feel when taking it is a wonderful relief. There are various potencies to progress to if needed.

I had my feet massaged at physical therapy. I never had any pain in my feet with neuropathy--just tingling and numbness. I was hoping massage would reactivate nerve growth but that did not happen. Certainly, it has to be beneficial for circulation and maybe a pain reliever as well.

I have had massages in feet and calves ,like myofascial relief massage for 1 hour. it made my feet and calves feel fabulous. It's something that needs to be done on a weekly basis forever. Also I use an old back massager that has plastic pointed balls that twirl. This also gives the feet a Good feeling.
