Make me smile
Since the cancer compressed my spine and damaged my nerves in 2021, pain has been constant background noise in my life, but normally it's not enough to interfere with what I want to do. Today, however, it's hurting a lot around the surgery site, and I'm finding it hard even sitting up.
So give it your best shot. Post anything you want to make me smile and forget about the pain for a bit, and maybe it will even go away. I'll bet there are a few others in the forum who could use a smile today too (some probably much more than me).

So sorry for your pain, North…nothin’ worse.
What usually makes me deliriously giddy is going on YouTube and simply searching “people slipping” or “people falling”.
Set to music or bizarre sounds, these acrobatics never fail to take urinary leakage to the next level. Feel better, pal…

How does a lion laying on the beach remind you of Christmas?
He has sandy claws.
Okay maybe not that funny but I am trying.
I tend to get very depressed sometimes reading about others. Yes, I did have prostate cancer and went through 30 rounds of proton radiation, but my experience is nowhere close to what others have had to endure!
Thanks for the response. Best of all good things to you as you recover…
Survivor's guilt seems common in cancer — I have in spades since losing a long-time friend to lymphoma in 2023 (we'd been on the cancer jouney together) — but it doesn't mean that your experience is any less important than anyone else's.
There's no hierarchy. And *all* of us who are here to post our stories are doing better than ones who aren't.
“ but it doesn't mean that your experience is any less important than anyone else's.”. Yes, the paradoxical aspect of life seems to put us all on the same plane…
Agree, laughter is great Rx...regrettably, the jokes I thought of immediately didn't get past the censors.
