Anyone taking Lupron (leuprolide) for breast cancer?
My 42 year old daughter was diagnosed with stage 1 Grade 2 Invasive ductal carcinoma and extensive DCIS. She had mastectomy with reconstruction in April. She started on Tamoxifen in June and is to start Lurpon in August but is very nervous about the side effects of the Lupron. Does anyone have experience with this?

I was diagnosed at 36, had a double mastectomy, chemo, and hysterectomy. Started Lupron and my AI, my body has had to adjust but with each injection the side effects are getting worse. The bone/back pain is the worst part, it unfortunately is affecting my ability to do my job. So we will have to do something about that.
@sburtis05, have you had a chance to speak with your oncologist. What treatment adjustment do they recommend for you?
I have, they said we can try to find a new medication, but due to my age the options are limited unfortunately. As a hygienist it’s challenging to have the bone pain, I’m looking into new paths that I might be able to take with my career to ease what is going on with my body.
Hi everyone, I am 44 and I was diagnosed with localized BC last March, I was put in Lupron ( in July last year) and Exemestane (two weeks after I started the Lupron). As soon as I started the Lupron my period only came back once the month I started, and never came back again( Since July of 2024) but yesterday (January 15) I noticed a very mild cramp with spotting when I whipped. The spotting continues today and the very mild cramp. Has anyone experience this 6 months after started the Lupron ( late of set side effect.) A randomly spotting or light period with very mild cramping 6 months after being on the Lupron?

How are you doing, Claudia? Has the cramping and spotting stopped?
Hi, thank you for replying. Yes, it only lasted two days on and off and it was only when I whipped, very light almost like bright pink. It's all gone now.
