Lower right back pain and pelvic pain
Hi, I have been having lower back pain for about 2 months now. It bothers me mostly while sitting down. I went to the doctor and she gave me anti-inflammatory medication. It did help but now the pain is back and now have pelvic pain associated with it. I noticed that when I need the restroom, the pain gets worst in my pelvic. I am going to the doctor again this week to let them know. They did tell me that my next step would be x-rays or something. I just wanted to see if any one else has experienced this.

Also, I am experiencing hip pain when I go to stand up, all on my right side.

You may need a urinalysis and abdominal/transvaginal ultrasound done by your obgyn or pcp to see if anything shows up as the cause for your symptoms. Depending on outcome, you may also want to see a gastroenterologist for a colonoscopy if you haven’t had one. A pelvic/lumbar mri or ct scan may be needed if further imaging is necessary.
Thank you I will mention that to my doctor Friday
I have a bad left hip But they will NOT do surgery for a hip replacement because I am 91
I think that decision, at least in the US, depends on your total physical condition and not just age. If you have health issues that make surgery and anesthesia dangerous, you will be refused because joint replacement is considered elective surgery. And they also decide based on whether you can fully participate in a rehab program that will make you stronger and or more mobile than before.
I think other countries sometimes have age limits on specific surgeries, or require you to pay out of pocket for them.
Other than age, have they told you why they say "No" to the surgery?
no just my age
