Lower Leg Lumps - Truly unremarkable?
X-ray? Showed nothing. Ultrasound? Unremarkable. Non-contrast MRI? Also nothing. PCP says I’m “just weird”, and the specialists I’m trying to get in to see aren’t terribly helpful either.
They do hurt, sometimes. They don’t seem to have changed much if at all since I noticed them in late March. I just don’t get what’s happening.

I recommend going to a vein specialist if you haven't been. Perhaps this is vascular. I have lumps under mine too and there are some "lumpy" vericose veins involved. I stood alot in my younger years in my jobs. They are not painful though. Have you tried support hose? I know, the weather is hot, but perhaps they will help you. This is what was recommended to me by my primary doctor. I am going to a vein specialist soon myself. I wish you the best on this.
P.S. If you decide to go to a vein specialist, take copies of the testing you have already had done. Bless you!
Is it on both legs? I wonder if it is lipomas?
Does the swelling go up and down? If so probably your heart
Good thought!
The lumps do not fluctuate in size or presentation. This leg is chronically about a quarter inch larger than the other.
After 12 hours of being on my feet without compression socks, both legs swell slightly but maintain the size difference at a quarter inch. This also makes the lumps less visible.
I have made an appointment. Thank you so much for your recommendation!
You might want to check if swelling is a side effect of any medicines or supplements you are taking.
There is one on the other leg. Dermatologist thinks deep lipomas and EDS making my tissue prone to doing strange things. It’s just weird.
