Lower back pain after starting Gabapentin less than one month
Not sure if there is a relationship with being on 300 mg Gabapentin at night for 17 days and started 100 mg in AM 3 days ago. All of sudden started having new lower back pain relieved only slightly with Extra Strength Tylenol. Just checking to see if anyone else ever had this happen if its associated how long did it last for you?

Please research Gabentin as it has numerous side effects including increasing Neurophy damage even further which is shown in your case. I took them for nearly 14 months and my Neirophy pain increased in that time. Gabapentin is a poison as most Pharmaceutical drugs are. Take and research Graviola a potent and natural Immune system booster and Ubiquinol necessary for every muscle and cell in your body.
Kind regards John L A Statin damaged patient.

You mentioned "it has numerous side effects including increasing Neurophy damage." Please understand these are POTENTIAL side effects.
It's to bad your experience with Gabapentin wasn't more helpful. It wasn't harmful to me but it wasn't helpful either.
But many people, especially in the Epiepsy community with tonic-clonic & Focal seizures benifit greatly from this medication and many don't suffer any side effects and are helped tremendously by this medicine. Mostly for seizure control, Neuropathy, Nerve pain and alcohol withdrawal.
Take care,
Jake
My problem emanated from a ludicrous high dose of statin medication for a sustained period and I nearly died one night from Rhabdomyolysis, which is heart failure. I had the most horrific pains throughout my whole body including my heart area as my COQ10 had reduced to such a low level it was not supporting the food necessary for every muscle and cell in my body. Please visit the 'nerve doctor's' and they will give you the definitive advice on Gabapentin. site is in the U.S.A. Remember it is only a pain killer not purported to cure anything and please read the fact sheet on it.
I recently read that doctors are prescribing Gabapentin for so many things. That scares me. I was given it at a low dose for nerve pain about 13 years ago. Not long after, I started experiencing severe abdominal pain. I was raising my two toddlers, and didn't even try to go see a doctor for about a week. I endured the severe stabbing pain, but it got so bad I finally went to my gastrointestinal doctor. They checked everything, inside and out. And after all those invasive and costly tests they said they found nothing wrong. I went home. No advice what to do now. At home, in pain, I thought: what is the one thing that has changed before this pain started. It was gabapentin. So I looked it up on the internet, and guess what!? It had a black box warning that said, " can cause severe abdominal pain". We have to be our own advocates. My doctor had the list of my medications. But that isn't the first time I have found out that the problem was a medication that a doctor had in my list. Sadly, when I stopped taking it, and the pain went away, I developed tinnitus, which has never away. But at least the pain in my gut stays gone. I don't understand why this has become one of the most prescribed medicine in America now. Hasn't enough damage been done with oxicontin and with lipitor? When will the medical community learn this lesson and take this seriously?
