Lower back pain
Hello, I’m a 29 yr old female. Got tripped up at work and lower back has been giving me pain. It hurts and goes numb when I sit up straight for more then 10mins. Laying straight back also hurts. Pressure is relieved when I tilt forward. It stays numb for about 20min afterwards. I have two points on my back that feel bruised to touch one is center of lower back the other is a little higher and off to the side. Work sent me to Dr they did an X-ray and said spine looks great. But I’m still experiencing pain and tingling when sitting straight and it’s constant on not being able to get comfortable. The pain is like an ache that won’t go away. I’m able to bend with little pain. And standing feels better then sitting. What else could it be?

I worked for a Physiatrist who did EMG testing for workman comp insurance companies regarding work related back injuries due to falls. This test will show if you've had nerve injuries as a result of your fall. Speak to your physician about getting an EMG done.
Get a second opinion. Sounds like you herniated a disc. IF it is within 6 weeks you need to wait 6 - 8 weeks for healing post-fall. I concur with @gently 100% It could just be out of place and needs healing time too. When I experienced something like that I would take ibuprofen for 3 days around the clock with food. You should feel improved by then, and then you will know it just needs time to heal. If you don't go in and get an order for an MRI. Where she says: "If it is a bulging disc, it could be pressing against the spinal cord. Bending forward creates more space behind the bulge and relieves the pressure." I've had many of these! Don't do anything (like try to fix yourself) exercise for a couple of weeks. Don't hesitate to go back. Sounds initially like you have an impinged nerve, and the disc is sitting on it. good luck.
May i ask what you do for a living. No pressure to answer if you don’t want to. Just to see if there is alot of bending, lifting, sitting, etc
It should have said "don't" exercise for a couple of weeks. See if it will mend. Don't avoid getting more tests either! Use your intuition to guide you.
I’m a fork truck driver. They have me off of it and packing out low weight parts.
