I recently had lab work done. In my CBC my lymphocytes are down drastically since April . results are 0.70 is this something to be concerned about?

@cgreene06 Hi, Your post jumped out at me because I just got my blood results yesterday and I have low lymphocytes as well, 1.0. I did some research and have other results I'm seeing from My Chart portal.
I can say this...it is but a piece of a puzzle...don't worry unnecessarily, but do pursue it with your doctor.💞

Good morning, @cgreene06 Welcome to Mayo Connect. When we look at our CBC results and see a number that’s flagged, I know from experience, it can be a little alarming. On your latest test it showed you have a drop in your lymphocytes. Those are the infection fighters in the body. The numbers can vary depending on what they’re doing behind the scenes.

If blood tests show a significant drop in the number of lymphocytes then your doctor will want to check for certain diseases like viral infections, nutrient deficiencies, autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, or certain cancers.
With your numbers down you are more prone to infections right now so a little extra caution will be important.

You mentioned having blood work in April. Do you have an underlying health condition where you have frequent blood work?
