Loud breathing through nose when sleeping
I am a 26 year old female and about a year ago my partner noticed I was breathing more heavily through my nose when asleep. This has been ongoing and is loud enough that it keeps him awake or wakes him up. It's not snoring, just loud breathing - but my nose isn't whistling, it's just like I'm breathing very heavily through my nose. He says prior to this I breathed very quietly.
I always tend to sleep on my side but sleep position doesn't seem to make a difference. I'm not overweight - my BMI is 20.5, and I exercise regularly.
It is quite severely affecting his sleep and now affects mine too because I expect to be woken up.
Thanks for any help!

Sounds like you may need a sleep study as you may have sleep apnea. A pulmonologist certified in sleep study could tell you. You can do the sleep study at home like i did. Now I have a C-PAP machine. Worth a try!
Sounds like sleep apnea maybe. I agree with andytheman, ask about doing a sleep study. God Bless!
Could be your turbinates. My daughter sounded like she was breathing through a sock stuffed up her nose, but then she got her turbinates reduced and she breathes a lot more clearly! See an Ear Nose and Throat doc for evaluation.
