Loss of hearing left ear after 18 doses of Evenity and 2 of Prolia any

Hi,
Has anyone else experienced sudden hearing loss. I have had 18 doses of Evenity and follow up Prolia (2 times PA missed 2nd dose after 12 injections of Evenity) broke 2 vertebra in spine and lost over 3 inches of height and extremely painful. I am now at the point of finishing up the Prolia and in August have to decide if I want my 19th dose of Evenity. I recently experienced sudden hearing loss in my left ear apx. 20+ percent with back round buzz. Annoying. 2 shots in my ear of steroids got a slight improvement with the first injection nothing noticeable with the 2nd so Dr. did not want to do a 3rd. I wish I had never started Evenity. Be careful this medicine has not been on the market long. I am only 69 years old and it has been a nightmare after starting Evenity. Prolia lowers your resistance to infection. Be Careful. NOone told me these things when I started Evenity. I am a sad mess, and for my whole life I worked out and lifted weights, dedicated myself to be prepared for old age. This is not right. I have an MRI on Monday to see what is happening in my head.

ou14mejc, there isn't a lot of information on Forteo after Evenity. Evenity may blunt the impact of Forteo in this sequence. I would want to give it a try in your situation, with bone markers to ascertain the advantage.
Most report some bone loss after transition from Evenity to Reclast. Evenity to Prolia yields greater bone density increases. Like, you I'd rather avoid Reclast and Prolia.
Individuals are reporting successfully maintaining bone density with Forteo after Evenity. And you have the advantage of not having any problems with Forteo. Alternatively, you might try Tymlos. You provider may not agree, though.
The pth drugs just build better bone. Have you already had the surgery or are you still building up to it.

Can someone please share more information about Forteo and Tymlos? I have to make a decision with my endocrinologist on whether to start an infusion med for my osteoporosis diagnosis.

@gentlyThe side effects of osteoporosis are horrid, but I had no choice. You have to "pick your poison" when you choose one of these drugs! I will say that Forteo made a huge difference in my spine. I have DDD and need lumbar surgery. I wouldn't have been able to have the surgery without the improvement provided by two years of Forteo injections. I am now on Evenity. My second infusion produced huge welts at the injection site, but no other reactions. I will have to use Prolia or Reclast after Evenity is done. I am fearful of both of them. Reclast is hard on the kidneys and osteonecrosis of the jaw bone is always a risk.

@ou14mejc I was put on Evinity first than after the 12 injections I need to get on something else that’s an injection that’s 1 every 6 months to maintain the bone I built. Plus they have me on 1250 mg of calcium supplements.

@jmc50 Are you on Prolia? I will have to make a choice after Evenity and I really don't like the choices. I am currently on calcium and vitamin D. Thanks for the response. Hope you are doing well after your Evenity.

@ou14mejc Oh I’m just about to get my 3rd Evinity injection. So I have a long way to go. Having spine surgery in 3 weeks. I think my surgeon said he wants me on Prolia after Evinity.
