Loss of feeling in the Trunk of the Body

Posted by j77 @j77, Oct 3, 2023

I have lost feeling in the trunk of my body.I had an iron infusion for anemia, but think I may have picked up covid at the same time.I also don't get the signals anymore that me belly is full or food going down to my belly.I was trying to do research and I saw information about the Vagus Nerve which controls signals through the body so I was thinking mine was possibly damaged. No Doctor I have seen knows what is going on.We have Lupus on both sides of my Family, but the Rhuematologist told me I don't have it even though I have had a positive ANA twice. My core became so weak that I eventually became bedridden for months.I am able to walk again, but it is not normal because I still don't have the midstrength.I was just reaching out in hopes that someone has seen something like this.

You may want to see a neurologist for a full assessment to see what is affecting your brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerve communication through your trunk/core. May also want to be tested for small fiber neuropathy which can affect your autonomic nervous system and organs. Bloodwork can help identify low levels as well as toxic levels that can affect your nerves. Good luck!

Thankyou so much for responding!I am meeting with a neurosurgeon so I will definitely run all of this past them.No conventional Doctor I have met with so far has seen anything like it.
